Meet the team responsible for bringing Storeplacer to life.

The team is comprised of a diverse group of professionals with experience in software development, investment banking, eCommerce, and online advertising. Collectively, the team has worked for a list of bellwether companies that include, but are not limited to: Coca-Cola, Disney, General Electric, JP Morgan, McDonalds, Publicis, and Sara Lee.

Jason Lobel

Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Storeplacer, Jason is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and leading the business strategy. He co-founded Storeplacer in 2010. Jason brings to this role almost 10 years of investment banking and over $1.0 billion in transaction experience, primarily in advertising, mobile content, internet media and business services industries.

Prior to joining Storeplacer, Jason was a Director in the mergers and acquisitions group at Duff & Phelps a global investment banking and financial advisory firm. There he executed transactions, formed the Marketing Services practice, and assisted in training and development globally as the firm grew from approximately 100 professionals in 2002 to over 1,300 during his tenure.

Jason is passionate about helping companies innovate to leverage social and mobile channels to grow faster and more cost effectively. He believes the proliferation of social networks, cloud-based infrastructure and mobile technologies is creating a perfect storm for disrupting conventional marketing, e-commerce and customer acquisition strategies.

Jason's most prized achievement is his nearly one year-old daughter who has already mastered the finger swipe tool on the iPad.

Alex Harvey

Co-Founder, Chief Architect

Alex is proficient in a multitude of languages and technologies including Java, Objective-C, iOS, relational databases, Google App Engine and Facebook applications.

A highly skilled Java architect, Alex has architected Storeplacer from the ground up with a focus on scalability and performance. Prior to Storeplacer, he spent after many years as a Senior Technical Architect at Arc Worldwide.

Massimo Ilario

Co-Founder, Lead Software Development Engineer

Massimo leads various projects within Storeplacer, focusing on web services, parallel and distributed computing, API integration, and overall platform architecture. His skills include data structures, algorithms, information retrieval, machine learning and, programming languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++.

Massimo is a strong advocate of Open Source software. Prior to Storeplacer, he was a lead software engineer developing large software systems for Fortune 100 companies at Arc Worldwide. Massimo holds an M.S. in Computer Science.

Massimo loves nature, traveling and photography.

Kevin Poulsen

Co-Founder, Senior UI/UX Architect

An all-around software engineer with experience developing both large enterprise systems and sleek websites, Kevin found his biggest interest and strength to be in social media, UI/UX, and front-end engineering.

An absolute fan of clean design and elegant interfaces, Kevin brings his unique skills to Storeplacer to make the products fast, elegant, and intuitive while slaying the dreaded browser demons along the way. Prior to joining Storeplacer, Kevin worked at Software Architects as a web software engineer and then joined Spencer Stuart, an executive search agency. During his time there, Kevin held multiple roles including web engineer, business analyst, and director of software development.

Kevin has enjoyed running ever since his high school days, and as of January 2012 he has now completed six marathons among many other road races.

Elaine Russell

Vice President, Product

Elaine heads product strategy for Storeplacer and is focused on the execution and creation of the ideal customer experience throughout the product line. Prior to Storeplacer, Elaine worked at Tiny Prints, an e-commerce social stationery company, where she managed the Wedding Paper Divas brand and website. Before this position, she led business development efforts for the company, including strategic marketing and partnerships. Prior to this, Elaine worked as an investment banker in JP Morgan, New York’s Consumer and Retail Industry Group and within Sara Lee’s Strategy & Corporate Development Group.

Elaine is passionate about consumer driven web technologies and e-commerce. She has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

Aside from Storeplacer, Elaine enjoys reading, traveling and hanging out with her boxer — Jax
